Caleb Wilson, Aquarist

Caleb Wilson began volunteering at the Oregon Coast Aquarium in 2014 while pursuing a Fisheries and Wildlife degree at Oregon State University. By the time he graduated, he knew this was his career path and became a full-time aquarist in 2017.

Since then, Caleb has cared for nearly every species of fish and invertebrate at the aquarium and continues to work closely with sharks as one of the three “Passages of the Deep (POD)” aquarists. Certified up to Rescue Diver level, Caleb focuses his professional diving on the aquarium’s largest habitats, where the crystal-clear water provides optimal conditions for observing and caring for the animals.

Dr. Joseph Frederickson, Lead Paleontologist

Dr. Joseph (Joe) Frederickson is the Lead Paleontologist and Manager of the Natural Science Collection at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. Though Joe’s research has primarily focused on dinosaurs and other land-dwelling creatures, occasionally his attention is redirected toward the ancient oceans.

In 2015, Joe helped DISCOVER and describe the remains of a gigantic shark from the Early Cretaceous of Texas. This discovery confirmed the existence of a great white-sized predator well before the evolution of truly giant sharks in the latest Cretaceous Period and into the Cenozoic Era.

Maggie Rubin, Curator & Paleontologist

Margaret Rubin has served as the Curator of Natural Sciences at the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis since the summer of 2024. In this role, she is responsible for the care of the museum’s natural history collection, such as extant animals, plants, minerals, and rocks.

A trained paleontologist, Margaret earned her master’s degree in Geosciences from the University of Iowa, specializing in the evolution of crocodilians. She has worked with museums across the country and is excited to bring her expertise to audiences through this latest installment of the Jurassic World franchise.
