About the 2025 Oscars
The Academy Awards, commonly known as the Oscars, are awards for artistic and technical merit in film. They are presented annually by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) in the United States in recognition of excellence in cinematic achievements as assessed by the Academy’s voting membership. This year marks it’s 97th year run held at its usual venue, the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood in Los Angeles.
